Please give recommendation for Firewall or VPN for a startup company

For a company that is just starting-up, it is not recommended to spend a lot with hardware firewalls. The ISP-provided router/modem in itself serves as a basic firewall to protect the internal computers from the external internet. All operating system starting with Windows XP Service Pack 2 from 2004 onwards have software firewalls built-in and enabled by default.
As the company grows, new requirements with corporate computing emerges. That is when purchasing an industry-strength firewall also called Intrusion Detection and Prevention system makes sense.
