How do I know that a web address is safe?

Web address with "HTTPS" are always safe to enter.

Before you enter into a website, ensure that the site is secure. Look for a small padlock symbol in the top left corner of address bar and a web address beginning with https:// (the s stands for 'secure').

1.Look at the web address in your browser, make sure the web address starts with https://

2.Look for a closed padlock in your web browser. When you click on the padlock you should see a message that states the name of the company and that “The connection to the server is encrypted”"
