Any one tell me what is email spoofing and is this harm?

Email spoofing is the easiest way of phishing information from targets, since they are done quite easier than other attacks. Also, emails are individually accessed, so people who are unaware of this kind of attack would easily fall prey. When an email is spoofed, its parts are altered intentionally to pose as a legitimate email from a source whether that is a bank, a sales website, an organization or even an individual. They would usually attach links that would prompt you to type in your details like email, full name and even your credit card number. Through this, cyber criminals gather information that they use in fraudulent transactions.
